Entering the Rawdah Riyad ul-Jannah (Garden of Paradise) in Masjid Nabawi is the highlight of any Madinah trip. But in 2026, no permit = no entry. The rules are stricter than ever. This guide explains exactly how to use the Nusuk app to secure your slot, even when it says "No Slots Available".

⚠️ The Golden Rule of 2026

You must book your Rawdah permit BEFORE you arrive in Madinah. Slots open weekly and fill up in seconds. Do not wait until you are at the hotel.

Step-by-Step Booking Guide

1. Download & Register

Download the Nusuk app (Official Ministry App).

• Register: Use your Visa Number (from your Umrah Visa) and Passport Number.
• Tip: Do this as soon as your visa is issued.

2. Navigate to "Prophet's Mosque Services"

• Open the app homepage.
• Scroll down to "Holy Mosque Services".
• Tap "Booking of Permit for Noble Rawdah (Men)" or "(Women)".
  • Note: Men and Women have completely different visiting hours.

3. Select Visitors

• Check the box next to your name.
• If you have family members linked (Companions), check them too.
• Click "Continue".

4. The Calendar (The Hard Part)

You will see a calendar.

• Grey: No slots / Not released yet.
• Red: Fully Booked.
• Green: Available.

💡 Pro Tip: Slots usually open on Friday afternoon or exactly 7-10 days in advance at 12:00 PM KSA time. Set an alarm!

5. Confirm Time

• Tap a Green date.
• Select a time slot (e.g., 01:00 - 01:30).
• Tap "Issue Permit".

6. The Green Pass

You will get a QR code. Screenshot this immediately. The app sometimes crashes offline. You need this QR code to scan at the gate.

"No Slots Available" - What To Do?

This is the most common error. If you see all Red/Grey:

1. Check at "Odd" Hours: Cancellations happen. Check the app at 2 AM or 4 AM KSA time. Suddenly a slot might appear green.
2. The "30-Minute" Rule: Slots are often released in batches every 30 minutes (e.g., 2:00, 2:30). Refresh exactly on the hour.
3. Change Language: A weird glitch—sometimes changing the app language to Arabic reveals different slots (myth or reality? Many pilgrims swear by it).
4. Visit the Help Desk: In the courtyard of Masjid Nabawi, there is a "Nusuk Help Desk". Sometimes (rarely), they can help elderly people manually.

Important Rules for 2026

• Once per Year: You can famously only book one Rawdah slot every 365 days. Make it count.
• Time Limit: You get 10-15 minutes max inside. The guards will ask you to move.
• Entry Gate: Ensure you go to the correct gate (Gate 37 usually for men, Gate 24 area for women - check your permit).
