Cancellation & changes
How we handle plan changes, deposits, and flight delays for private transfers across Saudi Arabia.
Changing or cancelling a booking
Plans change on sacred travel. Message us on WhatsApp and we will usually reschedule your pickup at no charge, subject to vehicle availability. Advance deposits (typically 20%) lock a dedicated licensed vehicle, reserve your chauffeur, and prepare required permits. Deposits are not returned as cash; when you cancel with 48+ hours' notice, the full deposit amount is held as an UmrahTransit credit for 12 months toward another journey for you or your family.
Cancel 48+ hours before pickup
Your deposit amount is applied as a 12-month UmrahTransit credit for a future booking. No extra cancellation fee.
Cancel inside 48 hours
Because the vehicle and captain are already held, the deposit is retained to cover dispatch and holding costs.
1. Vehicle lock & allocation
When an advance payment (typically 20%–30%) is collected, UmrahTransit commits operational funds to reserve a specific licensed commercial vehicle and assign an authorized chauffeur. The deposit covers non-recoverable dispatch lock-in costs and Transport General Authority (TGA) permit preparations.
2. Flight delays and no-shows
If your flight is delayed or you are held in immigration or luggage claim, that is never a no-show. We track the flight and adjust pickup. Sharing a flight number helps us do that — it is not a loophole that keeps a booking open forever.
After 90 minutes from actual landing (or from the scheduled pickup if there is no flight), if we cannot reach you, staff may close the booking as a no-show.
| What was paid | What happens |
|---|---|
| 20% lock only | The lock stays with this booking. No cash refund. No travel credit. |
| Paid in full (or more than the lock) | We keep the 20% lock. The remainder may be held as a 12-month UmrahTransit travel credit (not a card refund). |
| Cash / unpaid | Nothing to return. |
3. Licensed commercial fleet
In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, transporting pilgrims in unauthorized private vehicles is illegal and can lead to checkpoint delays or fines. UmrahTransit (a product of Fakhama Groups LLC) operates with officially licensed commercial transport partners and Tasreeh-compliant vehicles for access to Makkah, Madinah, and Miqat locations.
4. Disputes & chargebacks
By confirming a booking and deposit payment, you agree to these terms. Contact our concierge team at bookings@umrahtransit.com or WhatsApp +966 50 443 5616 for changes, cancellations, or credit questions before filing a card dispute.
